Hereford Radiology Group is a partnership of seven experienced consultant radiologists employed by the Hereford Hospitals NHS Trust in the historic Marches region of the UK, providing NHS and private diagnostic radiology services at our base hospital and to private patients at the Wye Valley Nuffield Hospital.
Hereford Radiology Group see private patients from throughout the UK. We are conveniently located for Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Shropshire, West Midlands and Mid, West and South Wales.
We welcome self-funding, insured (AXA-PPP, BUPA, Norwich Union, Standard Life, WPA, CSHealthcare, etc) and medico-legal referrals.
Our radiologists do not offer screening CT or MRI scans ("body MOT"). On current scientific evidence we consider such scans unethical. We do however provide an ultrasound screening service for abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) for only £50.
In the 2007-2008 year we scanned over 22,000 patients at our base hospital alone (MRI, CT, non-obstetric ultrasound and isotope scans).

Affordable Prices
Our radiology service offers a highly competitive pricing structure without compromising quality. Because we provide the full range of radiological investigations and scans, we can recommend the most appropriate for you. Your investigation will be reported by a named UK-based Consultant Radiologist with individual private practice insurance. You will receive a copy of your scan on CD and we will also store a digital copy of the study should it be required later.
We can do this by utilising NHS equipment when it would otherwise be idle. We don't have huge advertising budgets or other expensive overheads. We don't have highly paid directors or shareholders to support. We pass these savings on to you. Income generated from private patients supports our NHS Trust.
We see patients in a modern and safe environment with adequate parking and waiting areas so that you can bring a companion or family member. Our MRI and CT scanners are sited in a recently purpose built facility and maintained to the highest standards of performance and safety.
